An operating meeting on NEWTON “GAM LAB” Pilot project was held at the offices of QUI! Group and Beyond
partners in Naples, Italy on January 31, 2018.
Participants in the event were Fabio Di Salvadore and Giuseppe Guarino from QUI! Group, Carmine De Nicola
from Beyond and the NEWTON Advisory Board Member, Prof. Domenico Cariello.
The event had a triple purpose. Firstly,sharing among participants the status, progress and issues about definition
and organization of the Large Scale Pilot (LSP) from a general perspective, by putting attention on each step
of the related learning experience pathway. Secondly, making a recap on the timing, pending and remaining tasks
to be performed in order to grant the feasibility of the educational experience in Small Scale Pilots (SSPs) planned
to be run in February/March at “Da Procida” Institute. Finally, planning future activities.
An interesting open discussion on various educational topics regarding Pilots’ objectives took place.
Participants’ points of view, ideas and issues about integration of a social module in the learning pathway,
evaluation objectives and alternative modes for filling the evaluation forms and storing the results, educational
content provided to be used in a Virtual Reality environment, involvement of the students, presentation meeting
among students and their parents were analyzed in detail and appointed for proper solutions amidst the
participants involved.
After a joined analysis of the draft documents to be shared with the Institutes in the next meetings (in scheduling
phase) Prof. D. Cariello gave his advices regarding the approach to be taken furtherly, and few suggestions relating
the modality of application of the Evaluation kit.
