The EU Horizon 2020 NEWTON Project Dublin City University (DCU) Research team successfully finished the Programming Large-Scale pilot in DCU. During the 12-week C programming module, students fully utilised the NEWTON Project NEWTELP Platform for their learning activities. In particular, they experienced 5 serious (educational) games and a series of adaptive multimedia learning materials developed by DCU and STUBA teams that helped them to understand programming concepts.
They also participated in innovative learning strategies such as flipped classroom and problem-based learning. Students enjoyed the experience and would love to embrace more technology enhanced learning materials and approaches in the future.
